英國大學GPA績點制度

英國大學曆來采取以下幾等檔制來劃分學生的成績優劣，一等成績(First Class)，二等一成績(Upper Second Class—2.1)，二等二級成績(Lower Second Class—2.2)，三等成績還有普通成績。英國大學將要開始試點美國GPA績點制度了。

官方數據顯示，2012年總計61,600名學生以一等成績畢業(First Class)，超過學生總數的六分之一，相對九十年代末，該數字增長了三倍。與此同時，有三分之二的畢業生拿到了二等一的成績，也就是大部分公司針對會員招聘涉及的錄取門檻。

如此大批量畢業生湧入市場，泛泛的錄取標准已經無法滿足雇用公司的需求了，雇用公司已經無法將成績來作爲考察雇員的學習能力的參考數據了。

新問題的出現往往會帶來新的變革，英國大學開始了試點GPA績點制度。目前已經有25家學校決定嘗試新制度，其中包括來自于羅素集團下的6所院校。隨著GPA評分系統在世界的廣泛流行，也許未來會有更多的院校加入改革的行列。
